The Night We Made You Speechless!

It was a night to remember when The Society for the Performing Arts in Nigeria (SPAN) took people on a magical music ride with “Speechless – A Musical Adventure”!

speechless-67

The audience experienced a heart pumping, finger snapping, musical adventure night with jazz masters like Tee Mac, Bright Gain, The Venus Bushfires, Victor Ademofe, Olufunmi and Jerry Omole as they took them on an unforgettable journey of music and sounds…

The Venus Bushfires opened the show with her unusual yet captivating brand of music, which took people back to old beautiful memories of Africa.

Olufunmi, a gospel artiste with deep strong roots in Jazz led people back to the history of Jazz and how it started in America and evolved through the years. Now what made this performance thoroughly enjoyable was that as she introduces each artiste that had influenced Jazz  at their time, she immediately proceed to sing and mimick their style of jazz and vocals. She even performed Louis Armstrong ‘s “What A Wonderful World” in his gruff voice! She was accompanied in beats by SPAN’s music band.

When Art meets Life

Life is stressful. We all know how easy it is to get caught up in the travails of daily living. We become so busy and stressed out chasing after our bundle of conflicting priorities; family/work/personal, and sadly, we don’t pause to recharge our minds, bodies and souls back at each point in time. At the end of the day, we are doing everyone around us a disservice, and we are not helping ourselves either because how functional can we get if we are tired…all the time.

This is where art meets life.
